Henleaze Junior School has a very active School Council.
There are two representatives from each class, elected in September by their classmates after a week of campaigning. There are also Deputies in each class.
The School Council meets once a month. Meetings are chaired by the Year 6 members, and a member of the Senior Management Team attends to make sure the meetings run smoothly.
Typically, classes will hold their own meetings to give everyone a chance to raise issues which their councillors can take to the School Council. Every class is given the opportunity to raise at least one issue.
Minutes of the meetings are posted in the school foyer for everyone to read, and you can find copies on this page.
Meet the School Council
Congratulations to all of our School Councillors on running an excellent election campaign. These are the people who will be representing their classes and making a real impact on the school this year.
