Supporting all of our children

What makes Henleaze Junior School such a special place?

Children who are enthusiastic, polite, caring and eager to learn. Staff who are talented, committed and great team workers. Parents who are supportive to the school and to each other, who want the best for their children and who understand the importance of partnership between home and school. Governors who are dedicated to the task of making sure that the school maintains its reputation for excellence, while always looking to move forward.

We are really proud of our Ofsted record - judged outstanding in our last 3 inspections!

The Henleaze Campus

We share our beautiful site with Henleaze Infant School and Claremont Special School.

The three schools collaborate so we can benefit from each others’ experience and expertise. For the children, this means that there are many opportunities for pupils to work together.

Children from Claremont take part when they can in lessons or playtimes at the Junior School, and some of the Junior children attend Outreach classes at Claremont. Children from all three schools participate in projects such as dance, music and art together. Staff of the three schools meet regularly to ensure that there is full communication and sharing of knowledge between the three schools.

The result is an enriched educational environment which benefits us all.
