Year 6 hub

Welcome to the year 6 hub. You should find everything you need to make the most of your time in Year 6.

Secondary school applications

The deadline for applying for a place at secondary school is the end of October. We strongly recommend that EVERYBODY applies for a school place using the Bristol Admissions application form. If you miss the October deadline, you will not be offered a school place in the dirst round next spring, and your options will then be limited. We know that circumstances can change. Even if you are expecting to go to a fee-paying independent school, it is a good idea to have a back up plan in the form of an offer for a local state-maintained school.

Jim Britton from Bristol City Council's Admission Team is holding a series of Zoom meetings for Year 6 parents during September and October. We encourage parents to join one of these meetings - it does not matter if you cannot manage the one for Henleaze, as the same information will be presented at all the meetings.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of applying for secondary school places with us, do get in touch either with the Year 6 team or the headteacher.
