In English we have been using Michael Morpurgo’s Beowulf to influence and inspire our own writing. We have also been working on editing; checking punctuation, improving vocabulary and using a thesaurus to aide spelling.
In Maths we have been looking at partitioning 3,4, 5 and 6 digit numbers. We have been concentrating on what happens to the Ten thousands, Thousands, Hundereds, Tens and Ones columns when you add.
Our topic work continues to look at Invaders and we have found out lots of information about Saxon and Viking life.
DeanField is fast approaching and we are asking parents to donate cereal boxes to make shields- please give these to your class teacher.
