Term 5 Week 4

Latest Year 4 news

Hello Year 4 and parents,

It’s been lovely speaking to some of you again this week when we have telephoned. You have told us about the fun things you have been doing with your families as well as your home learning and there has been so much baking happening!

We have also been amazed by all the fabulous work you have emailed to us this week. Thank you to you all for sharing all your hard work, creative ideas and videos. We have loved receiving them. We wonder if any of you have spotted your work in the ‘Wonderful work gallery’?

In English this week, we’d like you to get busy building sentences using conjunctions and you’ll also have the opportunity to look at a story from another culture, a piece of poetry and finally try your comprehension skills.

For maths, you will be revising multiplication and division and don’t forget to keep up your times tables practise.

We hope you enjoy your home learning this week.

Mrs James, Mrs Adcock, Mrs Garrett and Mrs Tabley.

Here’s some of this week’s wonderful work which has impressed us.

Relaxing hammock reading! - Are you keeping up with your pleasure and enjoyment of reading?

Look at these thoughtful and creative ways to explain and label the impressive digestive system!

Did you know: from the moment you see, smell or even think about a tasty food item, your body prepares itself for digestion? Just the sight of food starts your mouth watering, doesn’t it? Secretly, your stomach starts secreting digestive fluids. The design of the human body is truly memorising isn’t it.

Did you have a go at Mrs Adcock’s paper friends or family art project? Here’s a happy family to make you smile. Do you recognise any faces?

All of these colourful smiling suns surely make us smile if it happens to go away anytime soon.
