School closure

Playing our part in the response to corona virus

The government has instructed schools throughout the country to close on Friday 20th March, and has not set a date for them to reopen. This is an unsettling time for all of us, but we hope that we have done everything possible to provide our children with reassurance during the last few weeks.

We have provided plenty of work and guidance for children and parents to use at home in the next few weeks, all in Work Space section of the website. Teachers will be keeping in touch by posting weekly updates on their blogs, and children can stay in touch by emailing in work and questions to their class email addresses.

From Monday, we will be providing a very different service, looking after the children of key workers and some of our most vulnerable children. The combined staff of Henleaze Infant and Junior Schools will be working hard to make sure that those adults whose work is crucial to the national response are able to do their jobs every day. We are thankful to all those parents who have to make sacrifices to look after their children at home during this time. Everyone is a hero!
