English - We have been looking at word families, focusing on nouns, verbs and adjectives.
Maths - We have been looking at place value and using different resources to show how to partition numbers, how to write them as numerals and in words (eg 37 and thirty seven) and how to bridge the tens.
Spelling - Our spelling focus is words that end in -ed.
Spelling challenge - Year 3's do you think you could tell your family why you need to double the last letter before adding -ed to some words and not other?
Reading aloud is incredibly important to us at HJS. Could parents and carers please make sure that your child reads aloud three times a week to an adult and that it is recorded in your child's reading record.
