This week in maths we have been continuing to learn about place value, ordering and comparing numbers and finding 1000 more or less than a number. We have been practising the 4 times table and the children will be given their homework to continue to practise this table at home.
In English, we have been describing our Greek monsters and settings in preparation for writing our own Greek myths. We have also been practising speech punctuation, placing inverted commas correctly.
We have completed our first spelling unit, so children should continue to practise their words for the Speed Spell next week, when we will begin unit 2, words ending with -sure.
