Art competition

Images of Bristol

Congratulations to Ariella and Grace, whose artwork has been selected to represent Henleaze Junior School in the NW24 Art Competition.

The competition, organised by Elmlea Infant School, invited children from all of our partner school in NW24 to respond to the title "Bristol - Our City". Artwork could take the form of drawings, paintings, photographs, scultpures, collage - and our entries demonstrated the full range of media. We'd love them all to be winners. Staff are really enjoying having them on display in the staff room, where they have been judged by School Councillors and by the grown ups.

You can see all the entries in our Photo Album

Ariella's winning entry in the Year 3 and 4 category has just about every recognisable Bristol landmark in a piece that includes painting, drawing and collage.

Grace's 3 dimensional piece, which won in our Year 5 and 6 category, shows the Clifton suspension bridge over the Avon Gorge and hot air balloons fashioned from papier mache.
