In English this week, we have been editing and publishing our World War Two newspaper reports. In maths, we are looking at percentages. Two classes have also enjoyed working with Warburtons making yeasted bread in preparation for our science unit on micro-organisms.
Next week, year 6 will be participating in a mock SATs week. This is really useful preparation so that children can experience test conditions and the flow of the week. We find that children get the most out of it if they take it seriously and try their hardest. Usually year 6 feel really reassured after this week as they can see what they are capable of and how they're not that scary after all! Parents can support this by making sure children are well-rested, fed and in school on time.
