What a blustery start to the Christmas term!
In English, we have been learning about William Shakespeare and his play "Twelfth Night". We have enjoyed meeting a Shakespearean professor, getting to grips with the language and finding out lots of fascinating facts about the Elizabethan way of life.
Don't forget our trip to the theatre next Thursday, it is a long show so children will need a jumper, a water bottle and a healthy snack for the interval.
In spelling, we are focussing on the sh sound spelled si or ssi as is profession or comprhension.
In maths, we have begun a two week block on division. This includes lots of strategies for tackling division problems including the use of factors, short division and the dreaded long division! To support your child in this, we recommend watching the fantastic video made by HJSTV which explains how long division is completed at HJS.
