In English we will be continuing our work on information texts. We are doing lots of peer editing and making sure our information is laid out in an easy to read format. We will hopefully be getting around to publishing our planet information texts soon. We will also be practicing our reading comprehension skills.
Our spelling pattern is words ending in -ibly and -ably.
In Maths we will moving onto multiplication and division methods. To help speed up children's progress it would be really helpful if they could remind themselves, at home, what multiple, factor, prime number, square number and cube number means. The website below is really useful to help remind children of these terms. We will be using them a lot during the lessons.
http://www.amathsdictionaryforkids.com/dictionary.html On this website you need to click on the letters down the right hand side to find the different definitions.
- square number
- cubed number (you need to click on the next page to find this one)
You should have received an email about the Redland Education Centre trip coming up very soon. Please let us know if you are able to help by commenting on the response form and let your teacher know if your child has any allergies that we would need to know about regarding cookie decoration or being around straw/hay. Class 4 and 6 will also need to make sure they are packed lunch on their day.
