We’ve been working very hard this week to get all our assessments done and out the way, ready for half term. I think the children (and the teachers!) will be ready for a break by Friday!
Tuesday 5th June
On Tuesday, Year 5 are going to the Colston Hall to take part in a musical event, along with other local schools, organised by Bristol Plays Music. Children need to bring a pack lunch which we will eat at school, prior to departing at 12.15pm. The organisers would like the children to wear their PE team t-shirts and black trousers or a skirt.
We will travel by coach, leaving the Colston Hall at 2.45pm and should be back at school by 3.35, depending on traffic.
Please make sure you have sent in your consent form to school by the end of this half term, as we won’t have much time to chase you after half term!
Wednesday 6th June
On Wednesday, Animal Encounters are coming to school as part of our Rainforest Topic. Each class will have a 45 minute session with the animals, plus a whole year group question and answer session afterwards. There will be a selection of exotic animals - all very friendly of course! These are fully interactive experiences, where everyone is able to, if they want, hold and stroke most of the animals that are brought along.
Please let the school know if their children have any allergies to animals so that we can make appropriate provision.
We would appreciate a contribution toward the cost of the transport to the Colston Hall and The Animal Encounter workshop, of £7.50 per child. Without your financial support we are unable to take part in either event.
Have a wonderful half term!
