We have had a fantastic first week in year 5. The classes have started to find out about their new history topic ‘Invaders’ and their first science topic ‘Forces’.
In Maths we have been problem solving by working together in groups and challenging each other to use strategic methods to check answers.
Spelling- The classes have all got their new spellings logbooks and will be getting their new words next week. It is a good idea to familiarise your children with the new spelling patterns and these can all be found in the logbook as can the year group or ‘orange’ words which are at the back.
The children have also been given a small, blue communication book where they can write in their reading and can also be used to communicate with the teacher.
