Term 6, Week 6 Update! :-)

End of term countdown! It's been lovely to see you all!

Hello Year 4 and parents

Thank you so much for all the creative work we have received from you, this week. Keep it coming next week! Year 4 have been successfully participating in our first few sessions of Teams, which has been so very lovely to see you all. Getting to see your lovely smiley faces again (we know, it’s been a while. Thank you for sharing all that you’ve been doing and how you’ve been feeling too). You will be popping in on the last week of term so will see school again before Year 5!

This week in English, you will write a letter, identify the difference between fiction and non-fiction and study an exciting extract and practise dictionary use! This will help you in the spelling zone starting Unit 13- adding the suffix (t)-ion to a word.

In maths, you will be applying yourself to the continued new topic, interpreting data using line graphs, interpreting charts and comparing data. We would like to remind everyone that we have not had access to the White Rose maths sheets for a few weeks now as they are a subscription service. Fortunately, we can still access the tutorial videos which link to the BBC Bitesize lessons of the day. If you click on the BBC Bitesize link beside the video (and on the plan) this gives you a choice of worksheets to complete.

In science you’ll be thinking about bees, why they are so important (or are they? We’ll let you find out this week) and World bee day!

In art you’ll get creative creating images using sugar! Very interesting and sweet! We can’t wait to see your creations, Elli unicorns.

We look forward to hearing from you soon and Mrs Goulden looks forward to seeing your German work, which we will email to her so please do send it in.

Have a fab week, be safe and keep up your reading. Which reminds us Year 4, Please begin to gather any reading books you’ve borrowed from your Class, especially the Recommended Reads to be returned!
