In English we are continuing to look at descriptive writing of a setting. We are also editing our writing, checking for correct punctuation and whether we can improve it with any adjectives or word changes.
In Maths we are starting to look at addition, initially focusing on adding and subtracting ones to 3 digit numbers (eg 342 + 6) and then moving on to crossing the 10's (eg 342 + 9). We have also looked at ordering numbers and placing them on a number line.
In Spellings we are looking at words that end in -es. We tend to add es to a word if we are talking about more than one or writing in the past tense. When a root word ends in a y, we need to swap it for an i. E.g baby becomes babies or fly becomes flies.
